Cost Comparison: The cost of the ingredients required to replicate these recipes alone would certainly make buying the book cheaper. Once you factor in goats and chickens it’s a no brainer.
Would I recommend it? Yes, we’ve happily made a handful of the recipes and it’s been the only cookbook we’ve read out loud together!
Behind the Willows 
We’ve been borrowing it from the library off and on since at least August, so I finally broke down and bought a copy. Giving it to my wife for Christmas, but she knows I ordered it, so I guess it’s really a ‘family gift’.
I agree that it’s a book to own, I’ve got a gift card that I’ve been saving for just this occasion… of course now I have to get to a store… it could be awhile yet! But one day it’ll be on my shelf!
