Our biggest Christmas present came a bit early this year.
Jane was born at 1:50Am on the 23rd. Like our other two girls she was born at the Madison Birth Center, unlike the other two she came too quickly for a water birth – a problem I will not be complaining about! She weighed 8lbs 3oz, was 19inches long and is sporting a full head of blond hair. Jane and I are doing well, her big sisters are in Pewaukee “helping” with the final Christmas preparations and John is doing OK too. He had a moment this morning where he put cat food in the soap dispenser for the washing machine but after a few more cups of coffee he’s back to taking great care of all his girls
!
Have a Merry Christmas!
YAY! ! ! ! !
Welcome Jane!!
You already look advanced for a newborn!
And your eyes…girly, you have some wise-eyes…
that is your eyes that look like they know and have seen a lot…
not wise-eyes as in
wise-other-body-part-that-is-the-same-name-as-a-donkey.
(Which is good…you’ll have lots of teaching from your sisters
and you’ll need to be able to weed the truth.)
Congratulations Jessie and John and Ivy and Clara!
We’re thinking about you especially this Christmas.
p.s.
Hey, did you consider Jesus-ette instead of Jane?
I just want to make sure you considered all your options…
and with her birthday so close to … well, you know…
JUST KIDDING!
I know it might not feel good to belly-laugh
right now, sorry about that.
Jane: beautiful, elegant, uncomplicated.
I especially like that last descriptor.
I think it is highly undervalued.
Merry, Merry Christmas!
Katie
How beautiful she is! Congratulations and love to you all. Give Jane an extra squeeze from me.
She really DOES have a ton of blonde hair! And looks nothing like the other two! She sure is pretty though! She’s so new and wrinkly! 🙂 Congrats to the Stevens again! Ivy and Clara are lucky big sisters!
Welcome, Jane! I was very excited to hear the news of her birth. She is one beautiful, perfect little baby! Love to you all, Jenny
Congratulations! Glad to hear that all is well.
Congratulations to you all! What a beauty! We are happy to hear your good news and I will share it with people you have no relationship with.
Congratulations! She is beautiful. Love that hair.
Congratulations. We welcome Jane to the world and the family. She looks perfect!
A Christmas story:
As Ivy, Clara, Grandpa Moose,Uncle Tyler, and I awaited the arrival of baby Jane on Christmas Eve day at the farm in Pewaukee there were may preparations. We trimmed the tree, cooked yummy food, played countless games, and the girls set up the manger and played with the Kings and Mary and Joseph and the baby for a long time. The angles flew and the shepherds herded sheep and the kings arrived with gifts, and they all went inside when it rained. A good while later the lights from John and Jessie’s car came down the drive and the girls ran to the door to great their new sister. John placed the car seat on the floor in the hall and Clara vibrating from excitement peeked in to the seat and declared “Baby Jesus is here!”
And so unto us a child was born……..
Oh shoot, maybe you will have to call her Jesus-ette or perhaps Jesusina?
Ha Ha!
My friend Lisa’s daughter tells everyone she has a baby in her belly. What’s the baby’s name, you ask? Baby Jesus.
Congrats Jessie! My favorite part of Christmas was when Ivy was telling people that “my mom finally pushed out her baby!!” hahaha
ooooohmygosh..after reading Susie’s comment on “Sisterly love” I now also realize that Jane’s initials are J.C.
