It’s Philippa Gregory – Good
It’s historical fiction – Great
It’s got a main character that’s likable – Awesome
Would I recommend it? For certain

Adultery and alchemy? Sounds like a dangerous mix! 😉
Really it’s the royalty and adultery that gets you in trouble!
Although this is the third book this month that’s had alchemy in it, never ran into that so much before!
Short. Sweet. To the point. 🙂
That’s the idea! 🙂
And you and your periods aren’t at all mocking my lack thereof are you??? 😛
Jessie,
It appears this book is 3rd in a series. I don’t remember if you read or rated the other two. Does it matter if I didn’t read the first two and read this one? I am in search of a book club book soon!
Jenny
It’s not actually third in a series although it does look like it is. This book is about the life of the mother of the “white queen” and the White Queen and the Red Queen are about the same time just different views.
So I’d actually recommend reading this one first, it’d make a good book club book for sure!
And I did write about the other two:

Although in my typical style they don’t say much other than that they were good! 🙂
