Here in Wisconsin we’ve survived another ten days of a family gatherings and deer hunting, culminating in our big Thanksgiving meal.
It can run you through the wringer, a week of that.
While spending time with family is always pleasant, it can sometimes be a bit bemusing…
A night of human foosball can leave you feeling like this in the morning…
There are always some great times…
But there is this thing about spending time with family. Sometimes, no matter how much you love them, they can be a bit like… well… a bit like having someone take a drill to your head.
Hope your holiday was great and that your “drill moments” came with as big of smiles as ours did!
Looks like you all survived anyway 🙂 and I love the starry top! 🙂
We did survive, feel like I’ve been flattened by a truck today. But I can’t wait to see everyone again at Christmas! 🙂
That drilling photo says so much. We don’t really understand, or believe, kids can make us feel that way before we have them. Sweet.
I didn’t really think of it that way until you pointed it out but you’re so right!
Yep! Yep! We had 5 days…loved it when they came, and loved having my house nice and quiet again when they left… but I still miss hearing those little feet pitter, pattering down the hallway, and that little voice saying “Grandma!!!! I love you!”
And once it’s quiet again it’s easier to remember the “I love you!”‘s rather than the crazy noise! 🙂
So true!
Is your family sick? I am… And I’m looking for some relatives to blame my sickness on 😉
Not all of us, just me. So my rotten disease carrying vectors probably aren’t to blame, in this instance.
