It’s not apparent in these pictures, because this was the beginning of the fun, but by the end of the day the kids had to be dunked in the lake before they were allowed in the house!
Behind the Willows 
When our neighbours were building their house they had an epic dirt pile over a story high and it was very popular with the kids! Like climbing Mt. Doom! At least for the mom doing the laundry from it…
I remember climbing a giant dirt pile with my cousins while our parents worked on building our house. There was a lot of shouting “TA DA!” Giant dirt piles are the best, especially when you are below laundry age! 🙂
Definitely….sometimes just a diaper and gumboots…the costume of heroes!
