Because there are some weeks that need to end on a happy note.
Ivy, Clara and I were in a car accident this week. We will all be alright, nothing but bad bruises and the only thing that won’t bounce back is the truck. Thanks to everyone who has helped us so much the last few days, life would be harder if we weren’t surrounded by such great people!

So surprised to see you at the hospital. Very happy to hear nothing was seriously wrong with anyone. Of course you all must have been very frightened! Bad things happen in an instant. I hope the girls got ice cream!!
We were surprised to see you there too I hope things are better with your family as well.
Clara didn’t want ice cream so we went to Walgreens for ice packs, ibuprofen, candy and legos – something for everyone! I

His name is Jasper, he is actually my friends puppy but I’ve been watching him during the day some day while she’s at work. So like Digby I suspect I will soon think of him as MY puppy that just doesn’t get to live her all the time!

Me too! We always are driving older trucks, with plenty of miles on them so it gets tricky to replace them for what the insurance company says they are worth. But I think we have a good lead already – fingers crossed!

Whoa! Sorry to her about your truck accident. Hope you all recovered quickly from the bumps and bruises. Puppy therapy is good.
Puppy therapy is good. Though we had to go with our friends last puppy who is now a ginormous dog therapy this weekend. He pees in the house less, tires my dog out playing with him and snuggles more!
So sorry to hear this news. Must have been a very difficult time. Glad you’re all ok. Now give yourselves time to really get over it because sometimes “ok” means all in one piece, but feeling shattered. Take it from one who knows. Healing and peace to all of you.
Thank you Margie, this was right on the spot. We had the weekend as well which was good for Clara, she seems back to her old self just today. Well her old self that hops and scoots around the floor. She still doesn’t want to stand on her bruised foot, tomorrow and school are going to be interesting…
Be kind to yourselves, and don’t be surprised if sudden aches show up weeks later. I walked into a car while crossing the road, and while I had no serious injuries, I developed headaches and neck pain after a couple of weeks. Time, and kindness to self will heal all. Hugs and healing thoughts to you all.

Thank you, and I think we will be. Clara’s foot was the worst and while it’s turning very interesting colors it’s hurting her less everyday.

Thanks, it was much too scary! Clara is back in school for the first time today and the report is she was doing good until the kids starting asking what happened and then she got all teary. Every now and then she’s looked up at me and said, “Mom, car accidents are no fun.” poor kiddo!
