Just because sometimes, even when – especially when, things don’t go quite as planned I need to remember that it’s always worth it to take a moment, stop – and smell the roses.
Even when the roses are hydrangeas.

Reblogged this on Anita Dawes & Jaye Marie.
Has everyone woken up in the same mood today? That we should stop and be grateful for what we have, instead of breaking our necks trying to achieve the near impossible?
Lovely flowers too…
I hope so- it would be nice if that was the collective plan! π Then we can all go back to napping ever afternoon too! π
Perfect.

In this crazy hectic world, we all need to slow down.
Yes, and the crazier it gets the easier it is for me to forget that 10 min. of down time will be worth it in productivity later.
I don’t know why but I did not get a single hydrangea from our bushes thus year. π₯
Oh that’s sad! Hopefully they are gearing up for a stellar year next year! I need to learn more about mine. I just have the one bush, and I don’t think it actually gets as much sun as it would like because it’s a little scraggly, but it did bloom- so that’s something! π
My experience is that the leaves wither (sometimes even get burnt) when there is too much sun. They do droop easily during the hottest hours of the day. Maybe, they’ll be happy with less than 6 hours of sun.
I wonder if the freaky winter we had affected the blooming patterns of our plants here. I did not see a lot of hydrangeas this year.
