This morning we bought this house:
YAY!
This afternoon I was in a moving funk.
UGH!
I’m sure it was brought on by the conflicting emotions of the day.
The excitement of the new house.
The dread of leaving the old place.
The bored children.
The underlying panic every time I look at the amount of packing and moving that still needs to be done.
UGH!
I’ve decided there is only one cure for such a problem.
Packing can wait we are going out to celebrate with ice cream!
YAY!
Your new house looks great, Jessie! (Maybe that greenhouse might explain some of my enthusiasm, but the yard and house look very comfortable, too.) Congratulations on your purchase. I hope the move goes more easily than you expect.
I’m excited about the greenhouse too! When I get discouraged I just think about that greenhouse in February… and then I think I can probably manage to keep on packing.
YES ! Congratulations to all of you, and I think you did the right thing – Bought ice Cream!! yeah !
Cookies and cream makes everything more cheerful!
Congratulations! I’m sure you’re going to like the greenhouse during the winter.
Thanks! yup I think i might even start seeds in it while I’m enjoying the sunshine! π
Congratulations!!!
Thank you!
Finally! Congratulations!
Jessie, this house looks so pretty. And the garden – just look at all those mature plants, especially the peonies. Can you imagine spring already? π
Good luck with the packing and the move. It seems like a bittersweet thing. Ice cream will make everything right indeed.
The garden is full of mature plants it will be fun to explore them all when we move in and see what all is there now. Who knows what surprises will come up in the spring!
Not only did we have ice cream but as we drove to town a huge perfect rainbow came out. It looked like we would drive right under it and we could see it from end to end the entire drive and most of the time we ate our ice cream.
Of course then we got home and found that the Department of Transportation had messed up yet again and the frustration started over.
It will be SO good to be moved and done with it all!
I can’t wait to come see it! I think your old house could fit inside there twice!
If I were you, I would be afraid that my “moving help” would turn into “inspecting the garden and greenhouse help.”
I think that’s great so long as the garden and greenhouse inspectors are also plant movers, transplanters and weeders it’ll be perfect!
