Not even the fact that I had three kids worth of snow-pants, boots, hats and mittens to track down could keep me from doing a little happy dance in the yard when the first big flakes started falling!
Winter is coming! 
I just need it to hold on for another week or so while I re-prioritize my to do list.
I’ve got a few outside jobs that really need doing before we get real snow!
Behind the Willows 
We had out first snow this morning and I got to taste it. Good to remember that it can be sweet even when the snow landscape can be chillingly bitter as we get deep into winter.
Darling photo. I know what you mean about jobs…..Got wood in, hay in, barn painted and the chimney swept this past weekend. Bring on the rain and snow! This photo makes me wish we got more snow here instead of rain. The kids don’t care do they?
