Six thirty on a Friday night found us at our local park just as The Dang-Its started playing.
We sat in the sun, under the first blue sky in days, and pulled out our picnic supper. The next few hours were spent just as lazy summer evenings should be; lounging on the grass with friends, cold drinks in hand watching the kids run circles around us.
Long past bedtime the band packed up and we drove our sleepy girls home under the last pink of the sunset.
Ahh , summer nights!
I’m linking up with Northwest Frame of Mind tonight and her 1 Day 1 World project. Click over to see what else was happening around the world in the six o’clock hour!
There was a concert in the park behind my house tonight. Coincidence? I think not.
Ooooo Does that make us concert in the park buddies? Or did you not attend? If your concert was like mine I highly recommend being friends with a friend of the lady with the bucket of ginger mojitos! 🙂
The perfect kick off to summer! Thanks for sharing your 6:00 hour with us. 🙂
Once again it’s been fun seeing everyone’s hour! Thank you!

Returning the visit from Susie’s Party. Will look around at other posts now… 🙂
Thanks for visiting it was nice “meeting” you this weekend. 🙂
Same here. 🙂
Your evening sounds delightful to me. I haven’t been to a concert in the park this summer yet. And now I feel inspired to do so. Thanks.
Oh, and by the way, Susie sent me over here. She throws a great party, doesn’t she?
It was pretty great- had some overtired kids by the end of the night but it was mostly worth it! 🙂
It’s been a long time since I’ve attended an outdoor concert in a park like that, but it was lots of fun when I did! Sounded like a great evening 🙂
It was a fun time, admittedly I”m more in it for the company than the concert but that’s all part of it right? 🙂
What a beautiful post! I felt like I was right there, sipping my hurricane and taking a break from dancing at Susie’s party.
Oh good, everybody needs a bit of lawn to take a dancing break on! 🙂
Nice one! Hey, Susie sent me! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
What a great reminder to take advantage of summer concerts! This is such a lovely photo essay!
Thanks for bringing it to the party! I hope you meet lots of new blogger friends! Tell them, “Susie sent me,” and they should click back to your place!
I’ve had a great time blog hopping thanks for throwing such a fun party!

Visiting from Susie’s party to say that I LOVE outdoor concerts. I’ll hopefully be seeing a couple next month in Chicago. 🙂
