This weather is for the birds ducks!
Today it “snowed”.
And by “snowed” I mean that the rain turned to suspiciously thick rain, turned to sleet, turned to giant clumps of snow that disappeared into the puddles and the mud on the ground.
For awhile it looked like soggy kleenex was falling from the sky.
Yeah, “Yuck,” is what I thought too.
It’s a good thing I have ducks so I can see something appreciate this kind of weather!
We have a pair of wild ducks we call ’em George and Gracie, who turn up on our lawn every Spring and splash and snorkel in the puddles that regularly form in the hollows. They look quite contented. 🙂
I know the expression is, “Happy as a pig in mud” but I really think ducks in mud puddles look much happier than any pig in a puddle I’ve ever seen!
Do your ducks make eggs?
They do! At this time of year they lay about an egg a day! I took a picture of some of our eggs for “E”.

They look so cool, those ducks. I love the idea of you photographing your way through the challenge, too. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
The ducks are a lot of fun to watch. The chickens are friendlier and easier to handle the geese have more personality. But the ducks, the ducks just make me smile to watch!
Ducks just seem so laid back …
Eh… mine actual are more prone to panic than the other birds… but I like them anyway. 🙂
I guess it’s like people, right? #individuality
Yup. 🙂
