A Friday ritual.
A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week (or last).
A simple, special, extraordinary moment.
A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

What a handsome doggy, he needs a good cuddle, which I’m sure you give him often 🙂
All the time! 🙂

I like that the shock collar looks big enough for an elephant. You probably need an elephant-sized jolt to get his attention when he’d rather hunt on his own!
He and I had a day of “re-calibrating hunting partners” when I got there after that I just needed it to find him in the wheat fields. 😉
Did you find any sharptails or prairie chickens? Huns?
We did see sharptail and huns both. I did not bring any home, for various, super legit reasons. Like, my brothers dog likes to charge sharptail like he’s a rampaging bull and bark until they are out of sight (he points pheasants and huns fine, apparently he doesn’t like how they taste either) and the general scarcity of birds… and that when a covy of huns goes up at my feet I get “the flutters” and their whole flock behavior thing works in their advantage every time… and maybe something about my shooting, but probably not, that’s not a real reason ever is it?
