The weather here has been nice and our days have been spent pruning the apple trees.
I feel that, in my relative apple tree pruning inexperience, I spend a lot of time staring up at the tree and walking in circles.
I forgot about the trail camera we put out to see if we could discover who ate the ducks.
Turns out that walking in circles while looking up is exactly what I do.
Only seven more trees to go!
How fun! I love this. ❤
It was a good happy accident. I would have turned the camera off had I remembered it was there!
Thanks for sharing on your blog.
Thanks for reading!
Was the duck murderer ever revealed?
Not on camera. I just have pictures of dogs, chickens and night time bunnies frolicking and neighbor cats taking midnight strolls.
I’m pretty convinced it was coyotes. They came back, and took another five (all in one night!) and then I gave away my last duck. 😦 But, I already have a friend with eggs in the incubator so I’ll have ducklings soon!
That’s so funny 😀
And time consuming! I’m pretty sure if you look close you can see that tree took me an hour! 😀
I guess if you are pruning something taller than you, you would be looking up!! Now walking in circles might be something to be concerned about!
Well… I go around the tree once, but then I see something from a different angle across the tree so I have to walk around it again and then sometimes I can’t see the branch once I get there so I walk around again… and again… It’s better than when i’m walking in circles in the house just because I’ve forgotten what I’m doing! 🙂
LOL I feel like that myself pretty much!
I have to admit it’s a little distressing to know I do actually turn that may circles when working on something. At least in this case it’s warranted… mostly… 😉
Lol…I often feel like this…only I’m not ever captured on camera doing so 🙂 This is so wonderful!
Believe me I didn’t *intend* to capture any of that on camera, but it was too funny not to share. Glad you liked it! 🙂
what a cool series of photos. I’ve often wondered how trail cameras worked but seeing the resulting photos, especially in this case, is rather humorous. I bet it was coyotes that got the ducks – sad.
