Top Dog (of the chicken yard)

Despite the fact that he tends to leave bits of his breakfast on his face Enchilada is still top dog of the chicken yard… at until the geese show up!

ah, so he does play chicken when the geese show up! (sorry, it just blurted out of me). Though he is rather a fierce looking rooster. πŸ™‚

πŸ˜€ He sure does, he’s not near as fierce as he looks. Rather a wimp in the rooster world but he’s our only one and he’s nice to humans so he can stay.

What a fabulous portrait, and such a wonderful start to squares. he certainly looks top dog!

  3. Rosie Amber says:

My parents have very ferocious geese so I sympathise with him.

    • Jessie says:

My geese aren’t what I would call ferocious but the gander tolerates no shenanigans out of the rooster. Poor Enchilada has to court his harem when the gander isn’t looking!

Obviously a gentleman… er, chook, of discretion. πŸ™‚ … very handsome too. πŸ™‚
