Weekly Photo Challenge: The World Through Your Eyes
This is the neighbors’ barn as viewed from our upstairs window where I have always sat to rock the girls to sleep.
In the last six years I’ve seen it in the sun, the rain, the snow, the dark, spring, fall, with cows and without.
My favorite is when it’s under a full moon with snow on the ground.
But, lacking snow, I settled for my second favorite and was able to sneak in without waking Jane to get a summer sunset shot.
Not only is the photo perfect for the challenge it is also perfect for what it tells us about your internal thoughts while seeing it.
This may be the most spot on submission I’ve seen!
Thank you very much!
What a treasured photo–a touchstone to a wonderful time in your life–you’ve made history here–you will always remember this and each of its seasons. (Even without the photo). Hope your new home, wherever it may be–will have a view as special as this one.
Thanks Annette!
oh, just look at all that green grass! It looks so inviting! What a peaceful and serene setting to sit and ponder about the life of your child as you hold them and rock them to sleep. Wonderful!
Well… some is green grass, some is some seriously huge thistles! Either way it’s still a very nice baby rocking view. 🙂
Baby rocking is the best, no matter the view! Especially when they aren’t crying, but are just enjoying the snuggle time!
Quite a lovely view to have! I can just imagine how beautiful it must look covered in snow!
Sadly I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a snowy picture out that window. You can see the barn and silo in the background of some of the pictures on this post but it’s not quite the same. https://behindthewillows.com/2012/12/23/black-and-white-snowy-days/
